Translator for Android
Turemi translates supported text on your screen in compatible apps, the text you type, the photos you take, the people you talk to and the audio playing on your phone. Use our online service, or download offline packs that run on the phone itself.
Turemi is an Android app. Its Chinese name is 译见.
Features
Each feature is built for a different moment — reading another app, writing a message, looking at a sign, talking with someone, or following a video.
Translate supported screen content in compatible apps — the whole screen, a line you swipe across, or an area you frame. Translations appear over the original text, and a floating button keeps the next one a tap away.
Protected screens, and apps that don’t allow screen capture, may not be translatable. Text is recognized on your phone; screenshots are never uploaded or saved as images.
Type or paste up to 5,000 characters, choose the languages or let Turemi detect the source, and keep the translations you need in Favorites.
History and favorites are stored only on your phone.
Take a photo or pick one from your gallery. Turemi reads the text on your phone, translates it, and lets you save the translated picture.
Talk across languages with one button, or set the phone between you in face-to-face mode, where each half of the screen faces its speaker.
Caption and translate audio playing on your phone, or speech from the microphone, in a resizable floating window over other apps.
Some apps don’t allow their audio to be captured.
Online and offline
Every feature can use our online service or an offline pack. When online translation is available it is the default, and you can switch any feature — or all of them — in Settings › Online & offline.
Your translation history stays on your phone either way. Turemi has no accounts and doesn’t sync history to the cloud. See exactly what each feature sends.
Privacy at a glance

No sign-up or login. The online service identifies an installation with a random ID, not a hardware identifier.
History, favorites, saved recordings and photos live in the app’s private storage. Delete them any time.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob and measures use with Google Analytics for Firebase. Your translation content is not sent to them.
Where consent is required, we ask first. Advertising and analytics are separate choices you can change in the app.
